I put them on wet, but I sometimes rinse them, because the water they were soaking in can cause stains when it comes in contact with the mordanted fabric.
hello! I was wondering if you have ever placed the eco-printed garment/fabric in an iron after bath and if that shifted the color once again? I usually will do an iron after bath with solid colored natural dyes to shift the color result.
Hello, if I have mordanted the fabric with iron I don’t tend to do a post eco-printing iron dip. It might darken the prints a bit but generally won’t have as much of an effect on the colour as with solid dyeing. You can always try it though and see what happens.

Hi Louise,
Do you dry the leaves with a cloth after you rinse them or you put them wet on the fabric?
Thanks

Hi,
Did you use in this video the iron mordanting on the cotton fabric?
Thank you.
Yes, for all of the lessons in the ‘intro to cotton’ course I demonstrate on fabric prepared with iron mordant.
Your final product is so beautiful
Hi Louise, I can’t see the video in this module?
Oops, I’m sorry about that. I think I’ve fixed the problem now but please do let me know if you have any further issues.
