COMING SOON Immerse yourself in the magical world of eucalyptus leaf eco-prints on wool, with their bright oranges and earthy tones. We’ll begin by making some samples of folded and rolled bundles, cooked in plain water and in dye. As we work, we’ll discuss all aspects of eco-printing on wool, from choosing suitable leaves to wrapping and cooking techniques. While our samples are cooking away, we’ll be able to use our new skills to eco-print onto a beautifully light and soft, large wool scarf. All of the materials will be provided, but there is an option to also bring along 1 item of wool clothing or fabric that you want to eco-print on. For best results choose something that is 100% wool, or at least mostly wool.
This will be an intimate gathering of up to 5 people. We’ll work outside on my covered verandah.

A Sunday in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney eco-printing on a verandah with a delightful view of the bush was a fabulous way to spend the day. Louise’s excellent guidance enabled me to produce beautiful eucalyptus printed woollen samples, scarf and cardigan. A delicious potluck lunch made the day even more special. I highly recommend this wonderful workshop.
