Hello fellow creators. I am located in the US, in central Maine, in the Great North Woods. I spent many years as a landscape designer, and so have an extensive garden, which is right now just losing its snow cover. Plant materials is scarce, but I am eager to learn more.
I’m a fiber artist, activist, kiaʻi, keiki o ka ‘āina and lineal descendant of Hawai’i. Born and raised on moku o Keawe (Hawai’i island) with a history rooted in conservation, culture and living close to the land with reverence.
I work as a fiber artist educator weaving my passion of conservation, protection and reciprocity for nature into creating, and teaching the art of conscious creativity through sustianable natural dyes – that embrace the act of the honorable harvest and promote continued earth stewardship.
I live with her ʻohana on the slopes of Mauna Loa in a tiny off grid cabin where we practice a simplistic, land stewarding lifestyle based on building a sustainable homestead that fosters, cultivates and carries on the message to aloha ʻāina and malama honua now and for future generations.
Hello, I am an Italian by family and Scottish by birth and I live in Edinburgh. I have been creative in one way or another since childhood and am always interested in learning new things, so am very excited to be here and to meet like-minded souls. Evie
Hallo, I am from Scotland and live in Western Australia, we are in the outback farming with my family, in all the lovely red dirt ! This is Yamatji country, amazing landscapes, and lots of Kangaroos….
Hi, I’m Jo, I live on the South East coast of England and work as a driftwood artist. During this lockdown I’m trying to learn as many new things as possible and eco dyeing is one of them. Thank you for this course and I can’t wait to get started!
A slow start for me , but excited to be beginning this journey with you all. I live in Central Victoria in Australia a small town called Castlemaine. I would like to acknowledge the Dja Dja Warrung people custodians of the land in which I live and find inspiration as I connect to my inner artist.
I am excited to get started on these lessons. The buds are only just showing on the trees here, but I’m sure I can find something to work with to get going.
Greetings! I hail from the U.S. and have moved around quite a bit. I appreciated the acknowledgment of country so much and it made me take pause, close my eyes, and appreciate all the ancestors and indigenous people that have come before us. Thank you for sharing this Australian tradition (I had no idea).
I am a creative, looking to learn more about natural dyes and expand my skill set.
Looking forward to this. Thank you for sharing the generosity during this time!

My name is Celeste. I’m from Melbourne. I used to be an Interior Architect but now a stay-home Mum with two young daughters. I’m burning to be creative again. I have a passion for textiles, anything design or art with nature as inspiration. I’ve completed a Shibori dying course two years ago and I’m so looking forward to this course, adding to my textile dying knowledge…and to just have some fun! Yay!
Hi, my name is Eileen. I live in Portland, OR on the west coast of the United States. I am an artist and interested in all techniques that can be applied to fabric or paper and through a friend who makes artist’s books I had a brief introduction to eco-dyeing and fell in love with it. I am excited to learn more. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
I’m Pearl living in Cardiff, Wales, UK. I’m a creative person who is trying to get back to her artistic roots. I’ve made lots of natural inks. I’m a bit shy and afraid of doing something wrong so am a slow starter! We have an abundance of beautiful parks here in Cardiff that I love to visit every day which should come in handy.
Welcome Pearl! I understand that feeling of not wanting to do things wrong. But I like to think that eco-printing doesn’t have any ‘wrong’ results, just different possibilities. And you can always re-dye it!

Welcome Susan. You’ll have some wonderful months of eco-printing ahead of you as more plants become available and their tannin levels build up.

Wonderful! Keep an eye out for evergreen trees, they will have more plant dyes in them than new deciduous leaves.
