I live in Norway and we are surrounded with Nature’s abundance which is what makes Norway a special and uncontaminated place, accessible to gather anything we need from the woods. I’m grateful for it.
That’s so beautiful Fran. I feel very grateful for the wild places near me too. And eco-printing is such a special way to connect to our local plants.
Hello! I live in the USA, in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are a large city but surrounded in magical mountains. This state has a deep history in the religion called Latter Day Saints better known as Mormons. I was born into this religion but no longer practice this. But spent a huge amount of time growing up with my Grandmother who taught me all things pioneer! I grew up picking plants and making all kinds of things and she taillight me how to crochet, sew, can fruits and veggies. My Mother taught me how to create all kinds of doll furniture out of recycled items that would otherwise be tossed to the trash. These were significant lessons that have set me on a journey or up cycled and sustainable art pieces. Honoring them with my work at all times. Thank you for this space to honor the land and our ancestors.
Wow Lori, sounds like a special upbringing. How wonderful to have been initiated into so many ancestral crafts and earth based practises from a young age. Thanks for sharing.
I live in New Zealand where Maori are the first inhabitants. We have a treaty which is binding and under continual re interpretation as it was written in both Maori and English.

I am Portuese but live in London. I believe you already known me 😉
Lovely to have you join us again Margarida ?
I love the way you are teaching your courses from a sustainability lens and the way you pay respects to the Aboriginal people and the land.
It’s really important to me, and I love that a lot of my students care about this too ??
